1. Todas las tareas deben de ser entregadas en el primer periodo, en tú folder, adentro de la caja plástica al lado de la puerta de entrada en la clase. All homework must be turned in in class, 1st period, in your folder, inside the clear plastic box by the front door inside the classroom.

2. Tarea con PUNTO (75 Puntos): Si has tenido alguna dificultad en completar tú tarea, y quisieras un día extra para completarlo, y/o revisarlo, y/o editarlo, te tendrás que quedar a tutoría después de clase ese mismo día en que tenías que entregar la tarea en clase. Deberás de escribir PUNTO en la esquina izquierda de arriba de la tarea, y entregarla al día siguiente en el primer periodo, en tú folder, adentro de la caja plástica al lado de la puerta de entrada en la clase. DING homework (75 Points Only):   If you had difficulty completing your assignment, and would like an extra day to complete, and/or to revise, and/or review, you must stay for tutoring after class the day of the assignment's due date. You may right DING on the top, left corner of your paper, and turn int the next school day, 1st period, in your folder, inside the clear plastic box by the front door inside the classroom. The maximum points you can get for this option is 75.

3.REFLEXIONES DIARIAS (10 Puntos/Diario): Tú eres responsable por escribir una relfexión diaria en el BLOG en mí página de la internet, acerca de los trabajos que haces en clase. Pueden ser preguntas que tengas acerca del material, lecciones, lecturas, y/o un resumen de conceptos, ideas y/o cualquier otro tipo de reflexión. Media página. Serás calificada en ortografía y gramática--!cuidado con los acentos!   DAILY REFLECTIONS (10 Points/Daily):  You are responsible for writing a daily reflection on my BLOGGER FEED page, here on my website, regarding your classroom daily work.  It could be questions, summary of new concepts learned, ideas, or any other academic reflection you might select.  1/2 Page.  Watch out your spelling and grammar.  You will be graded on daily reflections and language--be careful with the accents!

4. ENFERMA/AUSENTE: Tendrás sólo UN DÍA más, después del día que regreses a clases, para entregar las tareas que te faltan terminar. Encontrarás un caja plástica de color verde con todas las tareas marcada con LO QUE ME PERDÍ, al lado de la puerta de entrada dentro de clase.  Tus padres deberán de envíar una nota con la descripción y razón de tú ausencia, además de una notificación de tú Doctor, firmada y sellada por él, para ser adjuntada al folder con tú papelería confidencial. HOME SICK/ABSENT: You will have ONE DAY after your first day back at school to makeup your missing homework.  You will find a green plastic box for WHAT YOU MISSED, by the front door inside the classroom.  Your parents must send a note with a description of the reason for your absence and a doctor's note when sick, to be attached to your confidential file on record at school.

5. VOCABULARIO/DIARIO PERSONAL (10 Puntos/Diarios): Tú serás responsable por escribir (en las páginas del lado izquierdo) de tú diario, 7 palabras nuevas en español de las lecturas en clase, materiales, actividades, etc. Al inicio de cada clase tendrás 10 minutos para escribir una historia corta utilizando las 7 nuevas palabras. Tú seleccionas el tópico.  VOCABULARY/PERSONAL JOURNAL (10 Points/Daily):  You are responsible to write (on the left pages) on your interactive journal 7 new words in Spanish from any of the readings in class, research materials, handouts, etc, daily. At the beginning of each class you will have 10 minutes to write a short story using those 7 new words.  You pick the topic.

6.EVALUACIÓN: Habrán evaluaciones de todo tipo y durante todo el año. Es importante evaluar comprensión, progreso y aptitud personal.  Para lograr eso estaré utilizando diferentes formas de evaluación: EXÁMENES--formal e informal, RÚBRICAS, LISTADOS, PROYECTOS, PRESENTACIONES, EVALUACIONES ORALES/ESCRITAS, y ARTE.  También usaremos diferente tecnología para evaluar tú nivel de competencia en español. Los padres podrán encontrar TEKS aquí en mí página de la internet, para ver cuales son los objetivos y niveles a ser evaluados en idiomas que no son inglés.  EVALUATION:  Evaluations will be an ongoing part of my classroom.  It is important to check for understanding, progress, and personal growth.  In order to do that, I will be using several forms of assessment:  TESTS--Formal & Informal, RUBRICS, CHECK-LISTS, RESEARCH PROJECTS, PRESENTATIONS, WRITING ASSESSMENTS, ORAL ASSESSMENTS, and ART PROJECTS. We will also be using different technology in the classroom as well as a tool for assessing your competency in Spanish. Parents will find the TEKS page to review the standards and objectives to be assessed in languages other than English.
